REACH Siem Reap offers ethical volunteer experiences for compassionate individuals from around the world to work alongside our local team in Siem Reap. Our focus is on empowering
Cambodians to drive sustainable development within their own communities, and as such, our volunteer experience is structured in a way that is non-disruptive to our curriculum or operations. We have stringent policies in place, and ongoing staff training to ensure that your time with us is not only rewarding for you, but mutually beneficial for our school and students.
The success of REACH Siem Reap relies heavily on the time, compassion and dedication of volunteers from around the world. We wholeheartedly value and admire every single person who supports our cause, without these special people, we would cease to exist.

REACH Siem Reap has a variety of areas which you may be placed in depending on your skill set.
We typically accept support in the following areas:
- Classroom teaching assistants
- Curriculum development
- Kitchen & garden volunteers
- Bike repairs & refurbishments
- Cycling support
- Communications & Marketing
- Program development & administrative support
If you have skills that are not listed above, which you think could be useful, please let us know.
We warmly welcome individuals, families and groups such as secondary school groups and corporate teams. We do however, have limited spaces at any given time.

REQUIREMENTS
One of the most important attributes for our volunteers is to have an open mind and to always act with respect towards the Cambodian culture and customs. We truly believe that in doing this, you will make the most out of your volunteer placement.
The first step in the process is to complete the application form below with as much information as possible. Our Communications Officer will then be in touch with further information on your prospective placement; if your skills and our goals align, we will then host a 1 on 1 call with you via Zoom.
Placements are not guaranteed and will strongly depend on our programs needs at the time. Prior to being approved, all volunteers will be required to provide our team with a current police check and/or working with children check. It is a requirement that all in-country volunteer also purchase and provide REACH with a copy of their travel insurance.
Volunteers at REACH are also asked to make a donation of AUD$450 towards our cause. These funds are vital in enabling us to pay our local team to sustain our programs. This one-off contribution also assists to cover the costs of coordinating your experience with us. Once your placement is accepted, you will have ongoing correspondence and support in the lead up to your arrival, and throughout your time with us in Siem Reap.
If you are unable to fund this personally, we encourage you to set-up a fundraising page and rally support from your friends and familiy. If this sounds like a suitable option, please let us know as we're here to help!
PLEASE NOTE:
With child protection being our top priority, it is essential that all volunteers provide references, current criminal background checks, adhere to our child protection policy and code of conduct.
We reserve the right to remove any volunteers, visitors and staff who act in breach of our policies.

OUTREACH
Outreach Program
Role
If you have relevant experience you might like to assist in our Community Outreach Office. This will entail working alongside our Social Worker as their assistant. Your role will vary on a day to day basis, one day you might be required to accompany children to the clinic, report on family conditions, or deliver food. Please be aware though, that your main role will be computer based and will involve helping to write profiles and updates of our selected sponsored students.
Hours
There are 2 Outreach sessions per day, choose to attend the Morning or Afternoon.
Morning Session: 8.00am - 10.30am
Afternoon Session: 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Skills Required
We ask that you are a skilled English writer (for profiling), a practicing Social Worker/Counsellor or are a University Student studying in a relevant field.

Volunteer Fee
All Volunteers of REACH are required to make a compulsory donation of AUD$450 towards our operational costs. These funds are vital in enabling us to pay our staff, and to sustain our programs.
