My name is Keuk Sithorn, I was born in a rural area of Siem Reap Province called DomDek Thmei Village. I live with my sister in Siem Reap to study and work.  I am the youngest child of three siblings; my sisters and brother received an education.

My father was a farmer; however, he stopped working due to his health problems and my mother is a housewife. For as long as I can remember, they have worked hard to support our studies.

In 2019, I graduated from high school and moved to live in Siem Reap City to continue my bachelor’s degree in majoring of teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). During that time, I did not have money to pay my school fees, and I did not want to depend on my parents to support my school fees at all. Then, I started to apply for a scholarship at an NGO, and luckily, I had an opportunity to get a scholarship at one NGO, they provided me with accommodation and food for 2 years and tuition for 5 years.

From my experiences, I have been working for a private school for more than two years in teaching English. I have gained many experiences related to the field I study, such as soft skills and hard skills. Besides teaching, I was the one who was eager to learn new things so I joined some training that was related to my study field or my leadership skills as well. Furthermore, I loved doing charity, volunteering, and working to have people get an education like me especially, children.

Last but not least, I am very excited to be one of the staff at REACH since it is a place that helps communities, especially impoverished children and families, be better in the future. I am fascinated by the opportunity to share all my knowledge, skills, positive energy, and fun activities with children. I am so thrilled to work with a very supportive team, a friendly environment, group collaboration, and positive people around me that I believe we will help our communities, especially kids, have a brighter future.
