My name is San Makara. I am 21 years old and was born in Chikraeng District. I live with my parents, two brothers, and younger sister. My mother is a cleaner at REACH and my father is a tuk-tuk driver. My younger brother and sister are high school students, and my older brother is a university student who works as a receptionist in a hotel.
I started learning English at an NGO when I was in grade 3. I really love studying English and I always research dictionaries and read English books in my free time to improve my speaking and reading skills.
After I graduated from high school, I did an internship at REACH NGO. I loved the experience and I enjoyed spending time with the children. I also had the opportunity to study English, computers, and leadership at JWOC. I was so excited to study there because everything was great and everyone was so friendly.
After I completed my internship, I was given the opportunity to work at REACH as a Kindergarten Teaching Assistant. I am excited to have this opportunity to work with an NGO again and I am thrilled to be working with REACH team. Everyone is friendly, caring, helpful, and has good communication skills. I especially love the children here. They are so lovely, brave, and outstanding students.
