Project Start-Up Coordinator

Marta Garcia

My name is Marta Garcia.

Growing up, I had the opportunity to learn several languages, which not only opened many doors for me but also taught me A great deal about different cultures around the world.

In 2019, I first visited Cambodia, where I volunteered for six months as A language teacher. Volunteering has always been an important part of my life since A young age, as I believe that one can make A difference no matter where they are. From being A student volunteer to volunteering online, I have sought opportunities to give back and learn from others, all of which have shaped my personal and professional journey.

After completing my master’s degree in development practice, I had the chance to work in field operations with the luxembourg red cross in niger as A meal officer, where I gained valuable experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.

In 2024, after several months of travel, I decided to relocate back to siem reap. I am excited to be part of the reach team, where I can apply my technical skills while contributing to A shared goal. What truly resonates with me about the work reach does is their commitment to keeping families together. Their holistic and intergenerational approach is comprehensive, fostering collaboration and understanding between students, staff, families, and the broader community. It’s inspiring to see how everyone works together to create A sense of unity and support, and I am thrilled to contribute to that mission.
