My name is Roeun Mengheang I’m 18 years old. I was born in Kampong Cham Province and have been living in Siem Reap since 2016, and I was in the Green Gecko organization. Green Gecko gave an interview about education to go to school again to gain knowledge from grade 4 to grade 12.

First, I am very grateful for Khmer teachers who helped me to learn by reading storybooks, writing, and doing homework which helped me learn and understand a lot. My favorite foods are chicken and fish in the morning, and every day I eat fish. In my daily life, when I’m not studying, I like playing games, reading books, and cooking. Also, I would like to go to Angkor Wat in my free time.

Second, I was happy when I joined the Green Gecko organization. I am very grateful to them for giving me this chance. Because they helped me a lot and no matter how difficult my studies were, they still encouraged me to keep moving forward. From grade 4 until that day, I graduated in grade 12 in 2025, and I gained a lot of knowledge. It was an amazing achievement in my life that I had never been through. Then I will go to university to continue my studies.
Third, after I finished in grade 12, I am very happy to be a part of the REACH team as a REACH Repair Shop Assistant. I am learning new skills that I have never known before, and I meet new people that make me more confident and improve. I hope that, I can learn more about mechanic skills, and other skills that I will improve for my life.

Finally, I would like to say thanks to those who supported me until I graduated high school. I will keep learning and improving my knowledge, and I will try all my best to do it.
