My name is Sereyvuth. I’m 23 years old and grew up in a poor family facing many financial difficulties. But despite these challenges, my parents always supported me in getting an education. They strongly believe that education is a powerful key, something no one can ever take away from us.
I come from Kampong Thom province. After graduating high school in 2021, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from PEPY Empowering Youth to pursue a three-year bachelor’s degree. This opportunity changed my life. I chose to study information technology because it’s been my passion since I was young. I’ve always dreamed of becoming the CEO of a private company one day.
In 2025, I now have the chance to work with REACH Siem Reap organisation in the IT field. It’s one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey. It doesn’t just feel like a job; it feels like a purpose. It gives me the chance to grow both professionally and personally.
As someone who comes from an academic background and knows the value of education, I want to encourage others, especially young people, to be grateful for what they have and to never stop learning. Education truly changes lives.
Working at REACH Siem Reap is something I do from the heart. As an educated young person, I believe it’s my responsibility to give back and bring a positive impact to my community. I believe that if we support and empower others, especially the younger generation, they will become champions for their own communities in the future.
No matter where you come from or how hard your journey has been, never give up. With education, passion, and perseverance, anything is possible.
