Hi! I’m Chuon Sreyphen. I am 27 years old. I was born in a rural area of Siem Reap which is in Chrekreng district, Siem Reap Province. I have 8 siblings including me. I have three older sisters, two older brothers and two younger brothers. All my older sisters and brothers are married with a few sons and daughters except my youngest brother that just finished his high school diplomacy. My father passed away since 2009. My mother is a single mother; she has been working hard to support my family since my father had gone.

Since my father passed away our family fall to a very hard time, my mother did everything to support the family unfortunately she still could not provide much for all my sisters and brothers because of the big size of the members. So, my first, second, third and seventh drop out of school to help my mother to support the family. Only my fourth, fifth, youngest brother and I had the opportunity to go to school because my mother always believe that the only way to grow and develop our living condition is education. So, my fourth sister now is a primary school teacher. My fifth sister is a nurse, and I am an English teacher.

Oh, before became an English teacher, I had been selected to join the non-profit organization called CEDO Siem Reap due to my poor living condition. I am very grateful to CEDO for giving me such a remarkable opportunity to pursuing my dream to continue my study since secondary to burglar degree in teaching English as a Foreign language.

Before in rolling at Reach, I was a kindergarten English teacher at a private school almost 4 years. As a teacher, I am really enjoy working with the kids, happy to see them smile, laugh and grow, develop their physical and mental in a good way.

I am so thrilled to be a teacher, I love to see the kids grow, happy and develop themselves as a better person at home, school and in the community.

Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank to Reach Siem Reap NGO for giving me the opportunity to take part to join the team to support the kids, youths, family and the communities became more better of every step in education, living condition, and a lot more.
