My name is Yun Hiev, and I was born in Kuk Srok village, Siem Reap province. I have one child. I dropped out of school in the 8th grade and found a job.
Between 1993 and 2010, I used to work as a laborer on the Tonle Sap Lake, a pastry grinder and helped raise crocodiles.
In 2011, I went to work in Thailand in a chicken factory, but working, and learning a new language are difficult for me. So, I worked as a tuk-tuk driver in Cambodia. Plus, I worked as a mechanic in Phnom Penh. But I returned to Siem Reap due to COVID-19.
In 2023, I got to know REACH through my brother-in-law. Every day I help transport staff, students, and families of REACH. I enjoy working here with friendly and supportive staff. I’m also so happy to get to eat delicious food every day.
