For AUD$260 you can sponsor an at-risk REACH youth to join our annual 'Side by Side Ride' event and cycle 200kms in 2 days in support of their community.The sponsorship of $260AUD will cover your Sponsored Youth's place on our ride and all their necessary gear.
Sponsorship for 1 Youth is inclusive of:

Access to 3 months of ongoing club training rides leading up to the event with snacks and refreshments.

A merchandise pack which includes a REACH Riders Club t-shirt, REACH drink bottle, sports shirt, socks and trainers, padded cycling shorts, REACH sling bag, masks, hygiene supplies and a 2-liter water hydration pack.

A fully funded 2 day / 1-night 200km cycling challenge to camp overnight with friends in a remote countryside location.

A First-Aid certified Cycling Tour Leader and mechanics as well as several REACH chaperones to ensure safety at all times.

2 Support Vehicles, with all snacks and water stops as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner on both event days

WHY SPONSOR?
At-risk youth in Cambodia living in poverty are rarely exposed to the excitements of childhood adventures and experiences. In a reality where the burden of today's meal is a household concern - from guardian to child, there is little room for the joys school trips and care-free escapades with friends.
When you sponsor a youth at REACH for their Side by Side challenge, you are giving the chance to experience a life-changing adventure. 200kms in 2 days is much more than a weekend cycling challenge.
Youth sponsorship encompasses a commitment to education, to reaching a goal and to a purpose. When a youth is sponsored, and selected, they will begin regular REACH Rider training rides - alongside their friends and their peers. They get to experience physical, mental and emotional growth in the months leading up to their big ride.
Each child becomes aware of the importance of their participation in the event. They gain a sense of responsibility and dedication knowing that their involvement goes towards helping their community, their families and themselves. This is an accomplishment that all our past riders have felt they cycle through the Finish Line.
Side by Side becomes more than a cycling challenge - it becomes a statement of commitment to their growth and helping us break the cycle of poverty within their community.
FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT
Alongside youth sponsorship is a $500AUD fundraising commitment in support of our REACH Riders and our entire REACH community. All funds raised will go towards our 11 poverty alleviating and ensuring REACH stays open to continue its mission.
Each youth sponsor will be set up with an online fundraising page on our website. Depending on where you are from, we are able to set up pages which issue either Australian or American tax-deductible receipts.
You have the option of supporting a sponsored youth by cheering them on and fundraising from your home country. Should you want to take it a step further, another exhilarating option is joining them, but taking on the challenge - and completing 200km over 2 weeks, Side by Side them!
There's also the option to join forces with friends to sponsor a youth and fundraise as a team. If you opt to create a team, AUD$500 will be added to your tally for every member added to your team. A comprehensive fundraising guide will be provided, and you will have ongoing support from our team throughout your journey.
Several weeks before the ride takes place, you will be provided with a profile of your deserving beneficiary, and a personal video from them to assist with your fundraising efforts. You will receive ongoing updates throughout the training and in the lead-up to the event. After the event we will send you a keepsake video of the special challenge, and you will be able to see first hand how much it meant to your sponsored youth.
