While living in Southeast Asia I was fortunate to have employment requiring extensive travel throughout the region which exposed me to unimaginable privilege, luxury and wealth, as well as unimaginal poverty, hardship, and a clear lack of education and opportunity for the young. Asian countries are all uniquly different but they also have many similarities and the one country that struck a chord with me is Cambodia.

It didn't matter whether I was on Phnom Phenh or in remote surroundings of Batambang, the people were friendly and the kids were full of beans and happy. What occurred to me when I went back to my privileged life (which I take for granted) the opportunity for most kids in Cambodia to have an education and a future simply doesn’t exist. This is why I got involved with REACH and am cycling 200km in January to fundraise in support of their education programs.
