Pin Sreypov
My name is Sreypov, and I am from Siem Reap. I have three sisters and a brother. We were a poor family. My parents were farmers, and we all lived in a small home without power. They worked really hard to take care of me and supported the whole family. My parents always encouraged me to study hard because it was a great key to my future.
During that time, I never gave up and tried my best to finish high school. It was really hard for me because my parents didn’t have much money. Then they found a job and earned only $5 per day. My parents paid for me only one thousand per day. Luckily, there was a local NGO, and I had a chance to learn English at that NGO for free.
I was happy with my family and spent time together with my loved family. After I finished high school, I taught at Khmer for Khmer Organization and Training Center in 2016. From 2018 to 2022, I taught at SHINE as a kindergarten teacher. I am pursuing my degree at BBU university, and my major is Teaching English as Foreign Language. Now I am in year one, semester 2.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my local NGO, which provided me with an excellent education. That is the reason I want to work at REACH. I want to help the kids there as much as I can.
I am glad to work at REACH. I would like to encourage the kids to try to learn hard if they want to get a better life in the future. Then they can support their families and also themselves. Thank you for reading my writing.
