Mab Mon
Hello! My name is Mab Mon. I was born in Siem Reap province in the city suburbs. I have five members in my family. My parents are farmers. They work so hard to save us from the poor living situation. I have one brother and one youngest sister.
I started public primary school at eight years old; everyone usually begins school at six. I studied at Khmer School in the morning and went to look after the cows in the afternoon. I learned English from a teacher in my village. I felt I was good at it because it was fun, interesting, and happy. I have studied English since I was 13 years old.
I had a chance to improve my English knowledge for only three years when I was enrolled at one NGO in Krus village, Siem Reap province. The school and the teachers motivated me to become a high achiever and follow education's big purpose value. In grade 12, I planned to become an English teacher because I wanted to share knowledge, life experience, and study tips with the next generations.
I have worked as an English teacher since 2015 at an NGO to get experience, knowledge, skill, and salary to pay for my university. I graduated from university in 2019 with a Bachelor of Art in Teaching. I believe that Education has completely changed my life, family, and community.
